Hazel Harvey Peace Scholarship Fund - Scholarship
Applicants may obtain an application form after February 1 from their high school
counselor's office. An application for scholarship will be considered only with
the receipt of the following:
- The completed application form
- A 150 word personal essay
- Official high school transcript
- Three letters of recommendation
- Proof of parent's /guardian's current income, W-2 form, income tax return, AFDC
statement or other verified proof
Note: Applicants may describe any unusual financial
circumstances which may qualify them for additional consideration. Example: family
size, two or more siblings in college, unusual medical expenses.
If you live with your parents the return must be theirs, whether
or not they declare you as a dependent. The return must be signed.
All requested information must be received by the H. H. Peace
Scholarship Fund Committee no later than midnight, April 1. Applications that are
received after that date will not be considered. To expedite application processing,
mail all required information in one package.
Evaluation Procedure
Upon receipt of the items listed in the application procedure, the members of the
Hazel Harvey Peace Scholarship Fund Committee will evaluate the data. Persons who
will be awarded scholarships will be notified by May 1. Funds will be sent directly
to the designated educational institution that the recipient will attend.
